Summer has finally arrived! Teagan and Trevor built this sand castle on the beach in Coeur d'alene.
Teagan and Landry loved the mud hole I made for them and I was served several mud pies, cakes, and two grubby kids.
We love summer!

4th of July!!!
We made our annual pilgrimage to Troy for the big 4th celebration. We all thought the parade was one of best yet and the kids loved all the candy and classic cars. Teagan and Julia buddied up once again and this picture says it all. Landry was able to stay awake this year despite a short nap in the stroller and loved the fireworks. We saw a lot of people we hadn't seen in a long time so it was great to catch up with everyone at one time. The weather was actually cool this year so we didn't get much lake time in, but we love Montana in the summer.

LEGO camp
I signed Teagan up for a LEGO camp at our local children's museum and he loved it. He was a little unsure at first, but once they dumped the 4 tubs of legos on the floor he couldn't resist. Landry and I played in the museum and then came back to see his finished product.

This is what it's all about
It is moments like these that make me love my job. I was busy moving stuff into their new rooms (pictures will have to be in a later blog) when I hear Teagan ask Landry if he can read a book to her while she eats her snack. I come out to find them snuggled together and Teagan reading to Landry. I just had to take a picture, but the moment will be etched in my memory forever.

Teagan's Pre-K graduation
Teagan is now officially done with preschool and moving on to Kindergarten next year. We feel so lucky to have found such a fun and nurturing school and teacher for his first educational experience. He already misses Ms. Yolande and all his classmates, but is looking forward to the big K next year and is soooo ready! (I'm still in a bit of denial myself :-)

Ambulance visit
Our good friend Jim Benedict was kind enough to take the time to show Teagan the Troy Ambulance on one of our visits back. He was totally fascinated and loved every minute of it (especially the lights and sirens)! Thanks Jim!

Landry and Bree
I took this picture at James' 5th birthday party. Landry and Bree can get feisty with each other, but it is so nice that they have been friends since only a few months old. I just loved this picture of the two of them.

Easter in Troy
We enjoyed a great Easter in Troy this year. My parents house was being renovated at the time so we were able to stay at our friends, Jim and Jennifer Seifert, on Savage Lake while they were away. We had a wonderful family weekend together.

March for Dimes
Every year since Teagan was born premature we turn out for the March of Dimes Walk America for preemies. It is always very moving to hear the stories of other families and is a good reminder how lucky we are to have two healthy children. It was a sunny, but windy day. We had a great walk along the Spokane River and look forward to next years walk.

Race for the Cure
Landry and I put on our pink and turned out for the Spokane Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer walk. We walked the race with my friend Jen and her daughter Jordan. It was a beautiful day surrounded by sunshine, lots of pink, and strong women.

visit the Dentist
This was Landry's first real dental visit. Not counting the time he was able to smear some flouride on her teeth when she was 1 and screaming. She followed Teagan's example and jumped right up for a full inspection. Both kids are still part of the no cavity club.
They both love the dentist. Who wouldn't love a place that has a slide, video games, a prize machine, t.v.'s in the ceiling, and a goody bag when you're done.
