Landry 8 months old

This is such a fun age! Landry is commando crawling all over the place as we scramble to baby proof. She is rocking Teagan's world as she gets into all his toys. She is cutting her first tooth, says "mama", "dada", and "baba". Teagan's response, "I'm not baba".
I enrolled her in a swimming class and she is loving the water as well as her little girlfriends. They "talk" to each other the entire time.
She is loving solid food as long as it doesn't come in a jar. Her favorite is blueberries, but she'll try anything you throw at her. We just love her!

Best buds

I just had to post a picture of Teagan's best buddy, Ethan. We are so fortunate that Teagan found a friend his age next door and they love to spend time together (with the occasional 3 year old conflict). Somehow they put this puzzle together with no fighting and gave each other words of encouragement the entire time. "Good job with that piece Teagan", "You are really good at this Ethan"...so cute!

The Nutcracker

I had the privilege of taking Teagan to his first live stage performance, "The Nutcracker". We had been reading the story and listening to the music so he was excited to see what it was all about. We had great seats in the third row and he stayed still and quiet the entire two hours. I hope the memories stay with him as I know they will with me.

Deck the Halls

My parents brought us a tree from Montana when they came down for Thanksgiving. We spent the day decorating for the season and enjoyed watching Teagan and Landry take it all in. There is nothing like living Christmas through a child's eyes. The picture of Landry says it all!

Coeur d'alene Christmas parade

The day after Thanksgiving my mom, sister, and I braved the cold rain and took Teagan and Landry to the Coeur d'alene Christmas parade. Some of the floats were pretty amazing, others not so much. It ended with Santa on a firetruck and a spectacular fireworks show over the lake set to music. I haven't been that cold and wet in a really long time, but the kids loved it and stayed warm somehow. Luckly Landry was encased in a pink suit that tripled her body size.

Landry's baby giggles

Teagan can get Landry going better than anyone else. Hope this video brightens your day like it does ours.

Happy Halloween!

Teagan insisted on being Darth Vader this year, but this was the only moment you would have seen him with the mask on. We trick-or-treated around our neighborhood and then went to the church carnival for some games. After much coaxing Teagan tried a few things, but he never really got in the spirit of things. After two hours of whining and crying we finally admitted defeat and headed home just in time for the sugar high to kick in. There's always next year...

Beautiful butterfly

This is what having a girl is all about! I couldn't resist this cute costume despite Trevor wanting her to be Yoda to match Teagan's Darth Vader costume. Let's see, ugly green jedi or cute pink and purple bug. It was an easy answer.

Teagan came home with quite the stash of candy despite not wanting to trick-or-treat.
He wanted to know what bobbing for apples was all about so I put some in a bowl for him to try. We'd forgotten how hard it really is, but he eventually got one.

Pumpkin carving

Teagan loved the entire process of carving a pumpkin this year. He chose the spider pattern and it turned out pretty cool.

Boys Reunion

Darin, Chris, Trevor, Pete, Travis Spinder, Travis Winslow, and Dale reunited in Bigfork, MT for a night. It's been almost ten years since they all came together like this. We've known most of these guys since high school and college and yes even elementary school. It was nice they were able to coordinate busy schedules and get together for some golf, beer, and B.S.

Travis, Kate, Maddie, and Andy Winslow traveled from Florida to visit Travis' parents in Troy. We enjoyed meeting Andrew for the first time and introducing him to Landry. Somehow I didn't get very many pictures, but here is one of the boys showing off their new babies.

Preschool field trip

Teagan's preschool took a field trip to Carver farms and it was fun watching Teagan interact with his classmates and teacher, Ms. Yolande.

Teagan searching for colorful corn.
Watching the tractor taking kids to the fields.
Hunting for pumpkins with his friend Bella.
Enjoying some popcorn at the end of the fieldtrip with his friends.

Family visit to Pumpkin Patch

We visited the Greenbluff area that is full of local farms selling their goods. We had fun finding different kinds of pumpkins to bring home and several kinds of apples from the orchard.

We had to get our yearly pictures in the photo props. It will be fun to see how the kids change each year.

Landry is 7 months old!

Landry turned 7 months old yesterday and we can hardly believe how fast this first year is going. She is days away from crawling and shimmies or rolls to what she wants. She loves solid food and prefers finger foods over mush. No teeth yet, but drool and not sleeping well means they should be arriving soon. She is tiny like Teagan and is just under 15 lbs. My little doll. She can't wait to get into Teagan's stuff so it should be really interesting when he realizes he'll have to defend his turf. She brightens everyday with that big smile of hers. What a blessing!
