Our angels

Sensing that summer is coming to an end we had a picnic and took a hike behind Liberty Lake and came upon this climbing tree. We couldn't resist a couple pictures.

Grandma and Pops visit

Grandma and Pops came for a visit at the end of August. We took them to the local Cat Tales Zoo where Teagan got up close and personal with Tigers, Panthers, Cougers, and Jaguars. One of the Bengel Tigers roared at him and it's probably a good thing he had a diaper on at the time (yes, still potty training!). We had a nice visit and look forward to another one soon.

Lake time

Every chance we get we try to hit the lake and have been to Couer d'alene Lake several times this summer. We even made it up to beautiful Priest Lake one day and found some huckleberries on the way home which we turned into ice cream. Yum! Teagan is a fish and we barely have time to catch up as he runs into the cool lake head first with no hesitation. Landry prefers to hang out on the warm beach with Mom.

Landry 5 months old

Some of Landry's milestones this month were eating her toes, discovering rice cereal, and playing in her activity saucer. She loves to play on her stomach and we have the feeling she is going to be crawling before we know it.

Bull Lake Reunion

In July we met up with our good friends from college in Troy and spent our days out at Bull Lake soaking up the summer sun and enjoying the lake courtesy of the Paxinos' boat. There was a blues festival in town that we ventured to and took advantage of a photo op. The kids had a great time dancing in the grass. Thanks for a great weekend Seiferts, Spinders, and Paxinos!

I love this picture! Teagan loves to play with Julia and this time he told Trevor "Julia is a good friend, she's not too big and she's not too little, she's just right".

Fairy hunt

One of our favorite places in Troy is Ross Creek Cedars. It is an old grove of huge cedar trees with a nature trail running through. Growing up we all believed that fairies lived in the trees and now we've passed that on to Teagan. He loved exploring every hollow tree and running through the ferns with Grandma. Landry enjoyed a stroll with Pop and watching brother in action. Those fairies are quick and we didn't catch any...this time.

32 years and counting

Teagan helped me blow out my birthday candles as we celebrated at my parent's house in Troy. I scored an ice cream maker for one of my gifts and Teagan and I have made several batches all summer.
