Grandma and Pop came down on Teagan's actual birthday to help celebrate the big #5. They took him on a birthday date with just him and them which doesn't happen very often. After a special birthday dinner he opened his gifts from us and them and has plenty to keep him entertained for awhile.
The next day Grandpa and Grandma Cummings arrived with Maizey. They took him to Chuck E Cheese and to Target to pick out a present (he chose LEGO's of course). He later challenged Maizey to some Wii and it was entertaining watching the two of them.

Jump and Bounce birthday party
A couple days after his birthday Teagan celebrated his 5th birthday with 16 friends at a local Jump and Bounce. Despite a pink eye scare earlier in the week that threatened cancelation the party went very smoothly and fun was had by all.

LEGO mania
Teagan's cake was almost too cool to eat (no I did not make it a local cake co. did). All his friends were very generous with presents and he ended the day a happy 5 year old boy.
The next morning we had 16 balloons to get rid of so the kids went outside and made a wish as they released each one in the air

Day at Schweitzer
Our friends, the Winslows, were visiting from Florida and we met them for a day of sun and snow on Schweitzer Ski hill near Sandpoint, ID. Their daughter, Maddie, is about Teagan's age so we signed them both up for their first ski lessons and headed up the hill. The snow was much better than I would have expected given our nonexistent snowfall this year. Poor Kate had a fall on the first run that ended with a bad fat lip and she had to call it a day earlier than expected, but overall it was a great day and so nice to spend the day together.

our little skiier
Teagan took to skiing right away and just couldn't get enough. He spent all afternoon working on his form and loved riding the "magic carpet" (a moving sidewalk for skis) to the top to do it all over again. The next day he woke up and asked to go again. I think he is hooked!

Landry's 1st haircut
We took Landry to the Hair Zoo to get her first big girl haircut. I only let them do it if they swore not to cut any of the baby curl in the back. She ended up with some much needed bangs and a cute little style. She didn't put up any protest and seemed to love every minute. I think it helped to have Teagan show her how it's done.

Pop's birthday
We helped my Dad celebrate his 62nd birthday with a Spokane Chiefs hockey game (they won!), dinner, and ice cream cake. It was a great day together with many memories.

Totally 80's Party
Our neighbors, Travis and Angie Brewer, invited us for an 80's themed party Valentine's weekend. We couldn't pass up reliving the 80's and had a great time. We didn't get around to getting our costumes until a couple hours before the party, but managed to scrounge up some pretty rad duds. Trevor made a good Miami Vice stand in and you can't go wrong with hot pink fishnet stockings. Teagan was rolling on the ground laughing at our alter-egos. Landry just kept staring expressionless, nothing therapy can't fix I'm sure. Thanks for a totally awesome night Brewers!

Happy Valentine's Day
Teagan had a fun Valentine's day at school with lots of treats and Valentines. He brought red velvet cupcakes and popcorn for his friends for snack.
Landry loved all the crafts and treats we did at home and I'm sure she found a way to get some of brother's too.
