Amica pup

I seem to often neglect mentioning the 5th member of our family, our golden retriever mix, Amica. Trevor and I brought her home from the Humane Society when she was 2 which means she will be 8 this summer. She has adapted so well with our growing family and all our moves and her patience never ceases to amaze us.
Teagan and Landry adore her and she withstands their torture as Landry drops shoes on her head and Teagan drives cars on her belly. Yes, there is the occasional treat that Landry throws from her high chair, and the belly rubs from the kids, but she usually gets lost in the shuffle of taking care of two kids. We hope we have many more years with her and so glad the kids have developed this bond with their dog.

Walk for Babies

We participated in this years March of Dimes Walk for Babies in Spokane. It is a cause we have supported since Teagan was born six weeks early and spent 15 days in the NICU. We were fortunate enough to have a happy ending to our story, but there are many others who are not.
It was a bit chilly, but we bundled the kids and enjoyed the 3 mile walk through Gonzaga campus and Riverfront park.

The Last Best Place

For those of you who haven't been to Troy, Montana it is truly one of the most beautiful places. I'm glad we are able to let our children create their own memories here and spend time with their grandparents.

Little Helpers

Teagan and Landry loved "helping" Grandma and Pop with spring cleanup.
Later we took a short hike and tossed some rocks in the creek. It was so nice to get outside in the sunshine!

Happy Easter

I took the kids to Troy for Easter and to celebrate Aunt Erin's birthday. We discovered an old bunny costume that my mom had made for Erin one year and Teagan and Landry thought it was pretty funny.
We attempted the Troy Easter egg hunt, but apparently you have to be aggressive to get any eggs and Teagan went home empty handed. He was plenty spoiled at Grandma and Pop's house so the tears were short lived.

Easter Egg Hunt

Trevor's work hosted an Easter egg hunt. Landry and Teagan had fun and made a major hall on candy. It was a good practice run for the big day.

A glimpse of spring

We took advantage of a beautiful, sunny day in Coeur d'alene to spend in the park and Teagan couldn't resist hitting the lake even though it was freezing. He can't wait for summer!
