Landry is 7 months old!

Landry turned 7 months old yesterday and we can hardly believe how fast this first year is going. She is days away from crawling and shimmies or rolls to what she wants. She loves solid food and prefers finger foods over mush. No teeth yet, but drool and not sleeping well means they should be arriving soon. She is tiny like Teagan and is just under 15 lbs. My little doll. She can't wait to get into Teagan's stuff so it should be really interesting when he realizes he'll have to defend his turf. She brightens everyday with that big smile of hers. What a blessing!

Trip to Phoenix, Arizona

We enjoyed our first mini vacation as a family of four last week and survived to tell the tale. This was Landry's first airplane ride and the first one Teagan would remember. Both kids did great and Teagan was so excited by the plane, the hotel, the desert, and made us enjoy the trip that much more. It was a great getaway and I'm already looking forward to our next family vacation.

Train Park Museum

We lucked out by hitting the train park during the weekend of it's train festival. There were train displays everywhere we turned with elaborate model trains and mini cities. Teagan loved watching the trains go around and around and riding the steam train through the park. Landry went with the flow as usual and we all enjoyed the sunshine.

Teagan loved that all the trains were just his size and could have watched the model trains all day.

Phoenix Zoo

It was in the upper 70's the day we visited the zoo which meant that the locals were out in full force to enjoy the "cool" weather. It was very busy, but we saw a few animals and Teagan enjoyed the adventure. He loved the tractors in the petting zoo and never got around to petting anything. After a few hours of zoo fun we were ready to get back to the hotel and hit the pool.

Hall of Flame Firefighting Museum

Teagan was in heaven with so many firetrucks in one place (there was around 50) and we were pretty impressed ourselves. It was a great museum and gave a lot of hands on opportunities for a 3 1/2 year old that I don't think you would find in most museums. It also helped that Teagan learned about fire safety the week before in school and had "stop, drop, and roll" running through his little head.

Silver Mountain Waterpark in Kellogg, ID

At the end of September we met the Seiferts, Spinders, Beyers, and Grandma and Pop at the waterpark in Kellogg, ID for a weekend of fun. We all had a great time and hope to do it again in the future.

Ella, Elise, Anna, Julia, and Teagan had a blast at the waterpark...and the parents and grandparents had a good time, too.

1st School and Dentist

Our little boy is growing up! The first week of preschool was rough with lots of tears, but by week two he was asking me to leave and now he looks forward to every school day. He only goes Tuesdays and Thursdays but it has been a great outlet for him and gives me time with Landry.
He also had his first dentist visit which went well and we were happy to find that he has no cavities.

Swing time

I can't get over how old Landry looks in this picture and Teagan thinks he is a Superhero.

Kiddie Kandids

We took the opportunity to get some pictures taken with Grandma and Pop for Landry's six month pictures. Everyone was hot and tired, but we came away with some good shots.
